I have had excellent physician mentors who are at once a confidante, an advocate and an adviser to their patients as they collaborate toward improved health. I strive for this and enjoy practicing medicine for the privilege of getting to know people well and being there for them.

During medical school at the University of Pennsylvania I learned the value of continuity in the patient-provider relationship, so I pursued residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington in the primary care track. After completing training in 2017 I worked at Harborview Medical Center providing primary care to people living with HIV.  I cherish the bonds I formed with dear colleagues and with resilient patients who shared their fears and successes with me over the years.

In addition to the warmth and thoughtfulness of the team at Wise Patient Internal Medicine, what draws me to practice here is that the membership model prioritizes time with patients and ease of access to their primary care team.  I also appreciate that the practice is increasing access to the model through opportunities for financial aid.

As an internist I am interested in the full spectrum of primary care, from preventive care to the management of chronic diseases and everything in between. Partnering with patients to help address their health concerns and promote wellness is truly a privilege. Lifelong learning is another feature of internal medicine that I enjoy. I am credentialed as an HIV Specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine and I am pursuing certification for menopause management through the North American Menopause Society.

At home my husband Jake and I are embracing the special blend of cuteness and chaos of having three young sons. To unwind I enjoy getting outside to appreciate the natural beauty of where we live and hosting dinner parties for family and friends.
